The best way to begin the process of finding the perfect band that will create an unforgettable party is to ask them basic questions that will help you get to know them. The prospective wedding band should be able to answer these questions easily. If they can’t, run!
What is Your Style?
The style of the band will determine if they are a good fit for the kind of party that you are planning. Are your guests looking to get down with today’s Top 40s or would they dance the night away to big band hits of yesteryear? Some bands can accommodate a variety of styles while others provide a limited set list. Know what you’re looking for and see if they fit the bill.
Can We Listen to a Performance?
At the very least, a live wedding band should have a recording of their performances. However, seeing them perform live would be optimal, but this could be difficult if the wedding they are performing at is a private affair. At the very least, listen to a recording of the band and if possible watch them perform live.
What is Your Set List?
